About This Project

 

Brief:

Regeneration experts and visionary developers, Urban Splash, wanted PR support to make Royal William Yard known as the South West’s leading destination to eat, rest, work and play; promoting the array of businesses and activities on offer; and celebrating the Grade I listed site’s incredible heritage.

 

Approach:

Bowling the client over without creativity, we got to work breathing new life and energy into PR. We workshopped audiences, messages and priorities, so that our programme of activity would create meaningful content and results from day one. Our first piece of work, launching an interactive family-friendly art installation, made front-page news, Facebook live media interviews and more.

 

Since then we’ve re-energised and promoted the monthly Good Food and Craft Markets, launched the Yard’s first boutique hotel, publicised the 100+ innovative businesses based at the Yard, celebrated the South West’s biggest light festival, promoted seasonal events and activities, and brought influential journalists and bloggers to experience this unique location for themselves.

 

Results:

This inspiring client has spurred the Formedia team on; results have been exceptional in terms of the quantity of media coverage, positive positioning, and the range of audiences we’ve engaged this year. The knock-on effect is a happy client, strong visitor footfall, and booming businesses at the Yard – and it’s a great foundation upon which we will continue to build.
